Werner Platform Ladder Can’t believe I’m this happy with a ladder! No longer felt safe on a regular step ladder to change the smoke alarm battery on our 10 1/2 foot ceiling. I’m 5′ 7 1/2″ tall and can reach and open the alarm with room to spare using the 4-foot version. Platform with rail much more comfortable and secure than perching on a ladder rung.
