Extensions do not work correctly and are designed wrong. I purchased this product having known about the StrombergCarlson steps and having a relative who has the basic aluminum step. I even borrowed it for a period of time. I knew that I needed flexibility on height so I thought this would be the perfect solution. I took delivery last week. A quality product. I had a set of risers put in the suspension of my travel trailer. With the suspension now a couple inches higher the trailer’s bottom step seemed like a long way off the ground.
