Not really a workout bench, more like a big step This is our first home gym bench. I did a lot of research before buying but if apparently wasn’t enough. It’s well made, sturdy, looks nice and went together easily. Having used it for a couple weeks there are a few problems with the design that make me wish I got a different bench. For one, it’s too short both in length and height. I am a 5’5″ female and when I lay down on the bench for presses etc I have to have my butt right on the end in order to also have my head supported. Not for Tall Individuals I chose this workout bench because I liked its style and it’s compact size. I also bought it while it was on sale and in my excitement perhaps did not do enough research. I’m about 6ft 2 and it is very difficult to use this without my head or butt hanging off the edge. I started to worry that I might injure my back or neck so I’ve started putting a chair behind the bench to support my head and neck.
