I placed them onto standard black 3 step pullouts that came on the camper. I removed the plastic grab handle and centered the metal mounting plate over the old location. The kit comes with 4 hex screws but the plate has 8 holes. I purchased 4 more screws. I was able to swing the upright Bach toward the side of the top step. There was a 1/4 inch hole there.
