Very solid These are a great set of adjustable dumbbells, especially for the price. The stoppers (the things at the end?) are very reliable and secure. The weights, are weights.HOWEVER, it should be noted, as many reviewers already have, that the weights, the weights that you put on the end of the bars themselves, consist of4 six lb weights and4 2.5 lb weights,thus adding up to 34 lbs of pure weight, which, I suppose if you add up the two bars, would equal out to 40 lbs, just…
