Not made for the SelectTech 552 Dumbbells Amazon sells this stand as a package with the Bowflex SelectTech 552 adjustable dumbbells, and I cannot fathom why anyone at Bowflex or Amazon felt this was a good idea.The stand itself is decent and sturdy, and looks good. Perhaps when using with the 560 weights, it works great. However despite the compatibility list on both the instructions and in the amazon description, not to mention the comparison chart against the non-media stand model… this standâs dumbbell base platforms…
Not enough attention to detail On September 8, 2018, I ordered both the Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbell Stand with Media Rack along with the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells (Pair). The Dumbbell Stand was delivered on Monday, September 10, 2018, and the Adjustable Dumbbells (Pear) were delivered on Thursday, September 13, 2018. It works with wheels! The stand itself works very well and sure beats picking the weights up from the floor.I did make some modifications to mine (do at your own risk.) I took the screws out of the base of the 552’s and took the 552’s apart. I then put the bottom of the base on top of the metal plate and drilled holes into the plate where the original screws lined up. I then bought some longer screws at the local hardware store and screwed the bases onto the metal plate so I could bypass the…
