CC,This boat ladder is designed to be mounted below your swim grid or other platform. When stowed, it folds flat beneath your swim grid/platform. This leaves your swim grid completely unobstructed, yet the ladder can easily fold out at your convenience. Each ladder includes a velcro strap that can be used to wrap around the mounting bracket to ensure the steps remain securely in place when not in use.

Install was easy and seems pretty solid I have owned two different type of these now and thought I would try this one out on a different boat. Install was easy and seems pretty solid. I wish it had some other way besides velcro to hold the ladder in the stored position. I have seen some other models that actually have a catch build in to chassis and the end of the ladder which holds the ladder in place when stowed using hooks and gravity. Good boat ladder Bought this with the goal of making it fit in our Bayliner as the original design is only for a 1-step. The ladder is of good quality steel and the slide/folding mechanism works well so far. I did some modification on my swim platform, cut something underneath, so this ladder can fit flat. Got some metal plates from local depot and used stainless bolts with flare nuts to mount it. Put a rubber mat on top of the platform so as to “cover” the plates and bolt/nuts and prevent unnecessary…
