Each ladder includes a velcro strap that can be used to wrap around the mounting bracket to ensure the steps remain securely in place when not in use.

Well made, but preferred a different locking mechanism I’m going to give this product four stars, even though I decided to return it. Had there not been another product whose design I liked better, I would have been very happy with this ladder on my boat. Great ladder Great quality few tips that are echoed here – one the Velcro strap is super awkward almost need to be out of the boat to use it – simply screwed a button snap into my swim deck and attached a strap that was easy to use.Two make sure to dry fit your hardware first – there is little clearance from ladder to brackets and if you don’t get the bolt/nut spacing perfect it will bind up the ladder install if you don’t dry fit your gonna have 3M5200 everywhere and make a mess.
